C&A solves a stinker for B&B
Recently, C&A Pumps have supplied and commissioned a 175 population Rewatec SBR sewage treatment plant for a country tavern in Yorkshire, England. The owners had been faced with a dilemma when they were looking at extending their property to incorporate bed and breakfast for the holiday trade but found that they could not get mains drainage. They had been able to manage with a septic tank when operating as a tavern, but to comply with building regulations and Environment Agency rules they had to install a package treatment plant discharging into a soak-away.
They approached C&A Pumps after being given a referral from a drainage consultant who had used us very successfully on other projects. We successfully tendered for the supply & installation of our PE tank system against the traditional GRP aerated systems and bio-discs. The SBR – which can adapt to the varying incoming demand loadings – is now commissioned and we will be taking samples for analysis of the treated effluent and carrying out future planned maintenance of the plant, to ensure its trouble free operation. This plant has the manufacturer’s 3 year mechanical & electrical warranty and a 15 year tank guarantee. |
