C&A cover more than just pumps
C&A Pumps were commissioned by the Environment Agency to solve a potential health & safety problem at their Boroughbridge site.
An existing, 5metre deep raised-chamber had a corroded access cover which made maintenance hazardous and reduced security – increasing the risk of intruders gaining access to the chamber.
We proposed a complete new cover system with access-ladder and handrails – which the original installation had been lacking. We submitted design drawings and a method statement indicating we would be able to carry out an efficient one day installation. After our proposal being accepted, the access cover, ladder and handrails were manufactured by our own fabrication department and were installed as planned, to the delight of the Environment Agency Engineering and Operations.
